Benefits of Vahali Dikari Yojana

This scheme was implemented on 2 August 2019. Girls born on or after 2019 are eligible for the benefit of this scheme.

To get the benefit under the scheme, the husband and wife should be living in a joint family. Their annual income should be equal to Rs. 2 lakh or less for both rural and urban areas.
In case of divorce, considering the income limit of the mother or father who has custody of the daughter, if that person is not married, then the previous daughter should be living with him.
If for some reason the daughter is orphaned in a situation where the mother and father of the daughter are not alive, then any elder living in her family can apply for the beneficiary daughter. Such as the daughter’s grandparents.
If it is determined by the government and orphanages or other charitable voluntary organizations that the daughter is an orphan, then the daughter can apply through that organization.
In the case of a daughter, the income certificate of the concerned elder will be taken into consideration. In the case of a daughter due to adoption, the income limit of the adopted couple will be kept in mind.

Information about the amount receivable:
The beneficiary daughters will be eligible for the first installment of Rs. 4000/- at the time of admission to the first standard.

Payment process in the My Daughter Scheme

The Women and Child Development Officer will be responsible for making provision regarding the prescribed eligibility for the installment payable to the beneficiary in each financial year.
The payment will be made by the appropriate financial nodal agency only after the regularity of each installment payable to the beneficiary is maintained.
If at any time the beneficiary is late in making the payment, he can get information from the financial nodal agency or the office of the Women and Child Development Officer.

Application process to get the benefits of the scheme

First of all, for people living in urban areas, they will have to go to the Mamlatdar’s office and apply to the Taluka Operator or Jan Seva Kendra. If the boy is applying from the area, he will have to go to the Taluka Operator there and apply.
