Dr savita ben ambedkar yojana : This scheme is being implemented as a part of removing untouchability through marriage between Hindu Scheduled Castes and other castes other than Hindu Scheduled Castes and bringing about social equality. In this scheme, Rs. 1 lakh is given to the husband and wife as a small savings head in the joint name and an amount of Rs. 1,50,000 is given as assistance for purchasing household appliances. This scheme is to provide financial assistance to progressive inter-caste couples, encourage marriages between different castes and promote social integration. Objective of the scheme

To promote social equality: That is, to include inter-caste marriage and migration. To bridge the gap between different caste groups. To promote unity and understanding and feelings among them.
To reduce caste-based differences: The aim is to create unity among inter-caste couples by offering them financial assistance. To help them avoid and reduce the social and economic challenges they face repeatedly.
To empower individuals: That is, to protect couples from financial constraints by providing financial assistance and to educate them to start their married life. So that they can focus on building stable and harmonious relationships and build loving relationships by removing other anti-social aspects.

Eligibility criteria for the scheme

Inter-caste marriage: Marriage between persons of different castes, in which at least one partner must be from a Scheduled Caste.
Legal marriage: Marriage is legally registered under one or other relevant laws of the Hindu community, marriage is performed according to caste-related customs.
Residence: The couple can apply for the scheme from the state where they are residents.
Income limit: Some states have reduced the income limit. Therefore, this scheme can make them financially viable and people can get the benefits of government schemes.

Scheme Application Process

There are five basic steps to apply for the Dr. Savitaben Ambedkar Inter-caste Marriage Assistance Scheme, which are as follows.

Preparation of Documents: Couples who are getting married between castes should collect documents like marriage certificate, caste certificate, income certificate, residence proof, ID proof.
Application Form: You can apply online or offline to apply. To apply offline, you can apply by going to the local government offices or the official website of the state government.
Submission: After applying, it is necessary to go to the designated government office and submit the application form along with the required documents. If you are applying offline, then fill in the form given by the office in writing and attach copies of the required documents with it. Where necessary, the couple’s photo will have to be attached and signed. While applying online, the documents will have to be uploaded and the application form will have to be submitted. And submit the form by going to the office or submit it online.
Verification: After the application is submitted, the office verifies the authenticity of the official documents and the application letter from the office and waits for your application to be approved by the office. If your application is approved, you will be informed by message on mobile or email ID.
Distribution: If your application is successfully approved, the financial assistance will be distributed to the couple’s bank account. In which your account must have a mobile number link. Or you can also go to the bank and check it in person.
