This is good news for the candidates looking for a job in Indian Railways. The Railway Recruitment Board has released thousands of technician posts across the country. The organization has invited online applications from the candidates to fill these technician posts. The application process for technician posts will start from June 28 and the last date for submitting the application form has been kept as July 28, 2025. That is, a period of one month has been kept. The details of various types of technician posts under the Railway Recruitment Board, educational qualification, pay scale and salary limit, important dates regarding the recruitment have been included in the circular.

Railway Recruitment Board is releasing recruitment for Technician Grade-1 and Grade-2. 6180 posts will be filled through this Indian campaign.
Diploma or Engineering degree in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology related subjects will be considered valid for recruitment.
Candidates from 18 years to 33 years of age can apply for the age limit.
For the application fee, SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Women, Transgender, Minority or Economically Backward Class and Divyang candidates, Rs. 250 and Rs. 500 have been kept for other candidates.
Salary will start from 19900 in the pay scale.

Educational Qualification

1. Technician Grade I: Candidate must have B.Sc degree in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology or Instruments. Apart from this, Diploma or Engineering Degree in relevant subjects will be considered valid.

2. Technician Grade II: Candidate must have passed Standard 10 and should be an expert in relevant trade i.e. Foundry Man, Pattern Maker, Molder, Forger etc.

Age Limit

Age limit for Grade One is 18 years to 36 years
Age limit for Grade Two is 18 years to 33 years

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs. 250 for candidates belonging to SCST or Ex-Servicemen, Divyang candidates, women, transgender, minority or economically backward classes. For all other candidates, the application fee is Rs 500.

Salary Scale

The candidates selected in the Relvetation recruitment will be given salary and all as per the Seventh Central Pay Commission. Here the initial monthly salary for Grade One candidates has been fixed at Rs 29,200. Then the initial monthly salary for Technician Grade Two candidates has been fixed at Rs 19,900.

Selection Process

Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 questions of one mark, duration of 90 minutes, 120 minutes for Divyang candidates, negative marking will be given for wrong answers, the sections will have subjects like Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness.
Document Verification: To ensure that the candidates will undergo physical and medical examination required for technical roles, then the final merit list will have to be based on the CBT performance and passing the medical stages.

Application Process

First of all, the candidates will have to apply directly online.
To apply, they will have to go to the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board and apply.
Here, first of all, the candidate will have to register in which an account will have to be created using the candidate’s mobile number and email ID.
Then, to fill the application form, accurate information like personal information, educational information, documents, Aadhaar details will have to be entered.
Then the candidates will have to upload scanned copies of the documents in the prescribed format along with the candidate will have to attach his passport size photograph and signature.
Then the candidates will have to pay the application fee as applicable. The fee will have to be paid from the category in which the fee will be accepted on online mode like debit card credit card netbanking or UPI.
Submit the application and save it. Review it on your phone for future reference and then download and print it for final submission confirmation.
