- Compatible Bluetooth tags: Users can use the Find My Device app and PabloPie’s Bluetooth tracker tech to find items like their keys or wallet or luggage, which will now be available in the latest version starting in 2025. This tech is specifically designed for the Find My Device network, which is compatible with unknown tracker alerts on Android and iOS to protect you from unwanted tracking.
- Find Nearby: If a user is near their lost device but unable to locate it, this device will help them find it. A Find Nearby button will appear that will help them find where it is hidden. When the Bluetooth tag is released in May, users will also be able to find everyday items like their wallet or keys.
- Pinpoint devices at home with Nest: Since most lost items are likely to be near someone’s home, Find My Device now integrates with Nest devices, which will allow users to locate lost devices near their HomeNest device, making the process of finding the device easier.
- Share accessories with friends or family: Google is saying that users should share accessories so that everyone can keep track of them in the app. For example, share your house keys with your roommate, the TV remote with your friend, or the same with traveling friends so that if something goes missing, you can easily share it and none of your work will stop.
